Michael started drawing at a very young age

The Unconscious

keenly aware of AND CURIOUS about the underlying essence of things,

a sense of connectivity that he yearned to depict, but couldn't articulate

with the structural limitations of representational art...

not in rebellion, but as a compliment to more traditional techniques, purely employed for the development of a more specialized visual vocabulary.

As a result, the imagery in Michael's work is rarely linear in practice, but instead submits to the will of a hidden message, yearning to be ILLUMINATED

TRANSLATED

and INTEGRATED into rational thought

Ultimately arriving at Surrealism as a Result of serious inquiry, rather than as a Means for pure spectacle. 

Academic Honors:

Although Michael is Self-Taught, having Independently Studied the works of Old Masters to Contemporaries, Michael's unique vision has also been academically recognized; first, for its potential; then, for its notable development, 20 years later.
