As a bass player, I learned to play by ear; able to compose my own melodies as well as to follow someone's lead. And, this drawing unfolded in much the same way; neither randomly nor pre-meditated, but instead, composed by feeling (or intuition)... like a melody.
 
Each detail then, like a note, simply followed the previous one in a seamless arc, as extensions of the same expression, rising to a crescendo, before diminishing into a quiet close.
