In my mind's eye... I can't help but interpret the depicted movement in this mixed media drawing as an exhaustive undertaking of some kind; or perhaps as a reflection of the unseen emotional labor associated with producing art (which can sometimes seem like misplaced - or wasted - energy, when the outcome falls short of delivering the desired result).

Analysis, Labor and Waste are part of the growing process, after all. They are the aspects of Doing that instill discipline and help guide us through Learning and Development... en route to mastery.
