I'll readily admit that this painting was a failed attempt to capture a welcoming stranger's alluring beauty, which stopped me in my tracks, as a passerby, and compelled me to ask if I could take a photograph, for reference.

Remarkably, she must have been as awe struck with my enthusiasm as I was with her exhilarating impression, because she enthusiastically agreed.

However, because oils were still new to me, and, because my ability to recreate skin tones was still undeveloped, my enthusiasm ultimately exceeded my qualifications for the task. And, the result was a ghostly portrait that is vaguely mysterious, but also less remarkable than I had imagined it.

Nonetheless, nothing ventured... nothing gained. :)
